Leadership = experience
Overseeing a city like Fort Worth is complex - especially in these challenging times. We need representatives who have management experience. I bring to the job my hands-on experience managing large projects at Lockheed Martin.
- Managed as many as 3,000 people
- Delivered multimillion dollar projects on-time and on-budget
- Collaborative leadership style: listen, ask questions and decide
Leadership = involvement
Leadership also means being involved in our community. I've worked side-by-side with a wide range of people with big hearts and good intentions. I'm honored to have held leadership roles in:
- FW Residential Board of Adjustment
- The United Way
- The March of Dimes
- Crowne Plaza Colonial Invitational Golf Tournament
- Ridglea Presbyterian Church
Leadership = commitment
City Council service is a full-time job. All the leadership skills in the world are no good unless you're willing and able to work full-time. No one understood this more than the late Chuck Silcox. I will follow in this tradition. I've retired from Lockheed Martin and will invest my time doing the hard work of city service. Not ALL candidates can pledge this to you. I will:
- Walk the neighborhoods to seek input
- Meet regularly with city departments
- Answer phone calls from you
- Meet with business leaders in the district
Leadership = independence
I have no political history with the Mayor, other Council members, or any other elected local or state officials that might compromise my commitment to making the best decisions for those I represent. Furthermore, I have no business conflicts that limit my participation in and voting on all issues that may come before the Council. I will be able to freely serve as an independent voice, acting in the best interest of District 3 and the city.
